A 600mm lens was added to a 35mm camera to record this image of thermal tile damage on one of the pods protecting the Space Shuttle Endeavour's Orbital Maneuvering System (OMS). This pod is located on the starboard side of the NASA's newest Space Shuttle. At their October 28, 1994 presentation event, STS-68 crewmembers told their audience that they felt the impact happened during the September 30, 1994 launch. Close scrutiny of the area during the flight eased concern that the hit might have been of more major proportions.
