Russian cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov is in the Mini-Research Module "Poisk" on the International Space Station working with hardware that supports the PLAZMIDA experiment (Transfer of Molecules of DNA by Conjugation in Space Flight). Shkaplerov is one of three Expedition 29 crew members who recently joined three original Expedition 29 crew members aboard the orbiting complex. In a few days he will become a flight engineer on the Expedition 30 crew.
