Japan's H-II Transfer Vehicle-8 (HTV-8) slowly approaches the International Space Station as both spacecraft orbited over the Indian Ocean off the coast of South Africa. The HTV-8 would later be grappled by the Canadarm2 robotic arm, operated by astronaut Christina Koch, beginning a month of cargo transfer activities.
