Apollo 16 was the eighth of nine Apollo missions to the Moon, and the fifth of six to land on the surface. Being the second mission to carry the Lunar Rover, as well, they were able to perform extraordinary amounts of science on the Lunar Surface. John Young and Charlie Duke would spend more than 20 hours walking on the Lunar Surface over the three days landed on it, bringing back samples, photos, and so much more. Unfortunately, the TV camera did not record their first steps on the Moon, so the ladder descent is not available.
